Fox News host Jeanine Pirro unleashed on GOP Sen. Mitt Romney (Utah) over his vote to convict President Trump of abuse of power, calling on the Republican to “get the hell out of the United States Senate” while claiming that “your dream of endearing yourself to the Trump-hating left is a joke.”
Romney voted to convict Trump of abuse of power in the Senate trial, making him the only GOP senator to break ranks with his party.
“How dare he!” Pirro complained during her show “Justice with Judge Jeanine” on Saturday night. “How could he? And why would he?” The host went on to call Romney an “embarrassment,” claiming he voted the way he did out of jealousy of the president.
“Your jealousy of this man [Trump] is a constant rage burning within you because you can never rise to the heights that he has,” she later added. “Because guys like you fold like wusses and you don’t have any selflessness or the ability to think about others, as Donald Trump has thought about making America first.”
Pirro went on to call for Romney’s resignation for his attempt to appeal to the “Trump-hating left.”
“How about you get the hell out of the United States Senate?” Pirro declared. “The people in Utah are furious with you, and your dream of endearing yourself to the Trump-hating left is a joke.”
Trump shared Pirro’s attack, writing: “The feeling of many about Mitt Romney.”

Romney cited his faith and his oath of impartiality in his emotional speech from the Senate floor on Wednesday ahead of the historic impeachment vote.
“What he did was not perfect. No, it was a flagrant assault on our electoral rights, our national security and our fundamental values,” the senator said. “Corrupting an election to keep oneself in office is perhaps the most abusive and destructive violation of one’s oath of office that I can imagine.”
