Fox News Abruptly Cancels Comey Interview After IG Report Vindicates FBI: ‘They Must’ve Read The Report’
The Justice Department inspector general on Monday released its long-awaited report examining the origins of the probe into Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign.
Inspector General Michael Horowitz found that the investigation was justified and was not tainted by political bias, refuting Trump and his allies who have argued that partisanship drove the FBI probe.
Shortly after the report’s release, Former FBI Director James Comey revealed that Fox News had abruptly canceled his Tuesday morning appearance on “Fox & Friends.”
“I offered to go on Fox & Friends to answer all questions,” Comey tweeted on Monday.
“I can’t change their viewers on Donald Trump but hoped to give them some actual facts about the FBI,” he explained.
“They booked me for tomorrow at 8 am. They just cancelled (sic). Must have read the report,” he suggested.
FYI: I offered to go on Fox & Friends to answer all questions. I can’t change their viewers on Donald Trump but hoped to give them some actual facts about the FBI. They booked me for tomorrow at 8 am. They just cancelled. Must have read the report.

So it was all lies. No treason. No spying on the campaign. No tapping Trumps wires. It was just good people trying to protect America. https://t.co/9nurCaIBq2
