Fox News host Laura Ingraham is worried that the growing number of women who are coming forward to report incidents of sexual assault and harassment might ruin the holiday season by making office Christmas parties less festive.
“Is the #MeToo movement becoming a spoiler for this season’s Christmas parties?” Ingraham asked Friday evening during a segment on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle.
To discuss the important topic, Ingraham invited conservative comedian Jimmy Failla to offer his expertise on the subject.
“I can see this year it might be — a little less festive, let’s say that. No alcohol and no fun and no lampshades and, I don’t know, maybe that’s better,” she said.
“Is this just killing all the fun of Christmas?” she asked.
Failla and Ingraham took issue with a Vox announcing it would impose a two-drink limit at the office Christmas party to ensure things stayed under control. The decision was made after its editorial director Lockhart Steele was fired for sexual harassment earlier this year.
Limiting the alcohol limits the fun, Failla argued.
“I’m pro-holiday Christmas party,” he said. “I think it serves a purpose, which is to build camaraderie over someone getting trashed. You know, you get that one night a year to be like, ‘Simmons took his shirt off and jumped in the water fountain.’”

Former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes and host Bill O’Reilly were forced to resign this year after a barrage of reports of sexual harassment spanning years, while host Eric Bolling left in September after being accused of sending unsolicited photos of his penis to fellow Fox employees.
Many Twitter users took issue with Ingraham’s segment:
FOXNews' Laura @IngrahamAngle is worried that women speaking out about sexual harassment and abuse is "just killing all the fun of Christmas." STOP. Wholly inappropriate anywhere, let alone @FOXNews—with record of sexual harassment charges. #MeToo @RVAWonk https://t.co/PXZ7V7aAje

Sorry ladies, Laura Ingraham of Fox News thinks you potentially being raped and then reporting it is making Christmas parties “less festive” and it’s “killing all the fun of Christmas”. https://t.co/5eF3v9cG5v

This is so ridiculous!! Without women being harassed and groped (or worse) at Christmas parties, there will be no "fun" or "festivities"??!! The backlash against the #MeToo movement is now claiming we are ruining Christmas!!! Shame on you Fox and Laura Ingraham!!! #MeToo https://t.co/2WebG786wf
