‘Fox & Friends’ Accidentally Displays Graphic Announcing Ruth Bader Ginsburg Is Dead

The hosts of “Fox & Friends” apologized for what they said was a control room error, after they briefly aired a graphic Monday morning erroneously announcing the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Upon returning from a commercial break, a graphic of the 85-year-old justice briefly came onscreen with the dates “1933-2019.” The graphic was followed with a teaser of co-host Ainsley Earhardt’s upcoming interview about college culture appeared.

“We need to apologize … A technical error in the control room triggered a graphic of RBG with a date on it,” co-host Steve Doocy said later in the program. “We don’t want to make it seem anything other than that was a mistake. That was an accident.”

“We apologize, big mistake,” Earhardt added.

“This was a technical error that emanated from the graphics team,” A Fox News spokesperson told The Hill.

Ginsburg is currently working from home as she continues to recover from surgery to remove cancerous nodules from her lung.

The court announced that she is cancer-free and is expected to return to the bench.
