Former Trump White House Official Calls Trump A ‘Traitor’ To The US

Former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci on Friday called President Trump a “traitor” to the United States while discussing the president’s dealings with Ukraine.

“The American president is a traitor to the United States. He is literally the most un-American president that we’ve had probably since Andrew Johnson,” Scaramucci said on CNN.

Scaramucci said the president was reacting to the situation like “somebody who doesn’t have any principles or any morals.”

“I would have thought that the leadership in the Congress would have broken by now, the Republican leadership in the Congress,” Scaramucci said. “Where is the leadership?”

Republican Sen. Mitt Romeny ripped into Trump for publicly requesting that China and Ukraine investigate the Biden family, calling it “wrong and appalling” and clearly “politically motivated” because of the 2020 presidential election.

“When the only American citizen President Trump singles out for China’s investigation is his political opponent in the midst of the Democratic nomination process, it strains credulity to suggest that it is anything other than politically motivated,” Romney said in a statement, which he also tweeted out.

“By all appearances, the President’s brazen and unprecedented appeal to China and Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is wrong and appalling,” he added.

Republican Sen. Marco Rubio (Florida) told reporters on Friday that he thinks Trump was just trolling the press when he publicly called on China to investigate the Biden family.

“I don’t know that it’s a real request or him just needling the press knowing that you guys are going to get outraged by it,” Rubio told reporters on Friday.

“He’s pretty good about getting everybody fired up and he’s been doing that for a while. The media responded right on task,” he added.
