Former GOP Rep Rips ‘Bumbling’ Trump Team: ‘A Combination Of Arrogance And Stupidity’

Former GOP congressman and MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough blasted President Trump’s “bumbling” team on Thursday, saying the group combines “arrogance and stupidity.”

“They are just not smart people. They bumble around, and I don’t mean to go back to Rudy Giuliani talking about how intelligent he is, but who is dumb enough to go on the air, give three different accounts of an active case that the Southern District of New York is investigating?” Scarborough asked on his show.

He then criticized the president’s son-in-law and advisor Jared Kushner for bumbling around and contacting other nations without speaking with attorneys first.

“I could give you a thousand different examples about how there was a combination of arrogance and stupidity, and we are here where we are today with a special counsel in large part because of sheer ignorance,” he said.

The Hill added:

Trump is currently dealing with the ongoing federal probe into Russian election interference and possible ties between his campaign and Moscow, as well as continuing fallout from Michael Cohen’s payment to adult-film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Daniels’s attorney Michael Avenatti revealed records on Tuesday that sow Cohen, Trump’s personal attorney, received $500,000 in the months after the 2016 election from a company connected to a Russian oligarch with ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The controversy surrounding Cohen further deepened on Wednesday after various corporations said they paid Essential Consultants LLC, a shell company set up by Cohen, to provide advice about the Trump administration and legal work in 2017.
