The Citrus County School District has removed a Florida middle school teacher from her classroom after a HuffPost reporter outed her as the host of a white supremacist podcast, which she operated under a pseudonym.
Social studies teacher Dayanna Volitich will be barred from teaching her students at Crystal River Middle School while officials investigate allegations she hosted a podcast that shares white nationalist ideas.
“The Human Resources department was notified and an investigation was initiated immediately,” the district, located north of Tampa, said in a statement Sunday. “The teacher has been removed from the classroom and the investigation is ongoing.”
Volitich hosted the podcast “Unapologetic” using the alias “Tiana Dalichov,” reports the HuffPost.
She reportedly admitted to sharing her white nationalist ideas in the classroom and discussed how she hid those beliefs from school officials in one episode of her podcast, according to HuffPost.
Volitich also tweeted from the Dalichov Twitter account that terror attacks will continue “until we eradicate [Muslims] from the face of the earth.”
The account also retweeted and interacted with tweets from prominent white supremacists like David Duke.
