A federal judge in Pennsylvania has temporarily blocked President Trump from repealing an ObamaCare mandate requiring employers to provide workers with no-cost birth control coverage.
The injunction comes after the state’s Attorney General Josh Shapiro filed a lawsuit against the administration after it implemented new rules allowing moral and religious exceptions for ObamaCare’s birth control requirement. Shapiro had argued that the new rule undermines women’s health.
Judge Wendy Beetlestone ruled that the state is “likely to suffer serious and irreparable harm in the absence of a preliminary injunction.”
Other Democratic-led states have also sued the administration.
