Ex-CIA Director Scorches Trump Over Trudeau Attacks: His Worldview Doesn’t ‘Represent American Ideals’
Former CIA Director John Brennan ripped President Trump for his attacks on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, telling U.S. allies that Trump is a “temporary aberration.”
“Your wrong-headed protectionist policies & antics are damaging our global standing as well as our national interests. Your worldview does not represent American ideals,” Brennan tweeted. “To allies & friends: Be patient, Mr. Trump is a temporary aberration. The America you once knew will return.”

Brennan, one of Trump’s fiercest critics, recently declared that the president’s “kakistocracy is collapsing.”
Trump had attacked Trudeau in a pair of tweets after the Group of Seven (G-7) summit on Saturday, calling him “dishonest and weak.”
Based on Justin’s false statements at his news conference, and the fact that Canada is charging massive Tariffs to our U.S. farmers, workers and companies, I have instructed our U.S. Reps not to endorse the Communique as we look at Tariffs on automobiles flooding the U.S. Market!

PM Justin Trudeau of Canada acted so meek and mild during our @G7 meetings only to give a news conference after I left saying that, “US Tariffs were kind of insulting” and he “will not be pushed around.” Very dishonest & weak. Our Tariffs are in response to his of 270% on dairy!
