After the Trump Organization was contacted with questions about late bills and taxes by The Washington Post, its California golf course abruptly paid its $36,200 in property taxes and late fees.
According to the Post, The Trump Organization owed $36,200 in unpaid property taxes on two plots of land near its golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The land is reportedly set to be used for the organization to build and sell 23 new homes.
The newspaper reports that the organization paid the late tax bill on Monday after it was notified by the Post for an article that was being written on the matter.
The Post said the two parcels of land were reportedly declared delinquent by Los Angeles County in December.
President Donald Trump’s son, Eric Trump, lashed out at the newspaper on Tuesday, calling it a “disgraceful paper.”
“The Washington Post is a disgraceful paper that has zero regard for journalistic integrity,” Eric wrote on Twitter. “They are everything that is wrong with the media in this country.”

“All taxes are paid in full,” Trump Organization spokeswoman Kim Benza told The Post in a statement Tuesday. “To suggest otherwise would be an outright lie.”
