‘Daily Show’ Highlights Trump Tweets On International Women’s Day

“The Daily Show” highlighted President Trump’s past tweets about women on International Women’s Day.

The show’s Twitter account shared past comments the president has made about women, including Arianna Huffington and Megyn Kelly, while also sharing a tweet saying he doesn’t like “seeing women in combat.”

The move comes amid the nationwide “A Day Without A Woman” demonstration. The protest is being organized by the group behind the Women’s March on Washington, which was held the day after the president’s inauguration.

The goal of the day is to “highlight the economic power and significance that women have in the US and global economies, while calling attention to the economic injustices women and gender nonconforming people continue to face,” according to the group’s website.
