Actor Christian Bale thanked Satan for giving him “inspiration” on how to play the role of Ex-Vice President Dick Cheney in “Vice” while accepting a Golden Globe award on Sunday.
“Thank you to that geezer over there, Adam,” Bale said while onstage accepting an award for “Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy.”
“He said, ‘I’ve got to find somebody who can be absolutely charisma-free and reviled by everybody,’” Bale quipped. “And he went, ‘Ah it’s got to be Bale in it.’ Thank you, and for all the competition, I will be cornering the market on charisma-free assholes.”
“What do you think, Mitch McConnell next?” Bale said. “That would be good.”
Bale, 44, then continued, “Thank you to Satan for giving me inspiration on how to play this role.”
