“On behalf of the entire senior staff around you, Mr. President, we thank you for the opportunity and the blessing that you’ve give us to serve your agenda and the American people,” White House chief of staff Reince Priebus said on Monday during a meeting in which Trump had each Cabinet secretary take turns praising him and his policy agenda.
“And we’re continuing to work very hard every day to accomplish those goals,” he added.
During his first-ever Cabinet meeting at the White House, the president said he accomplished more than any other president aside from Franklin Roosevelt during his first six months in office.
“Never has there been a president, with few exceptions — case of FDR, he had a major depression to handle — who has passed more legislation and who has done more things than what we’ve done,” Trump said.
Here’s how some reporters reacted to the meeting:
Never have seen a Cabinet meeting photo op quite like that one. Each member took turns praising Trump as he sat & nodded approvingly

I've never seen a Cabinet meeting like this one before.

This interminable cabinet spray, where everybody pays tribute to Trump, is one of the most exquisitely awkward public events I've ever seen.

The public airing of praise from every one of Trump's Cabinet members is the president as TV producer. He knows cables will cover.
