Audience Panics After Man Yells ‘Heil Hitler, Heil Trump’ During ‘Fiddler On The Roof’ Performance
A performance of “Fiddler on the Roof” in Baltimore Wednesday night was disrupted by a man shouting “Heil Hitler, Heil Trump,” reports the Baltimore Sun.
Rich Scherr, a contributing sportswriter for The Baltimore Sun, told the newspaper that the man began yelling from the balcony during the intermission of the musical at Baltimore’s Hippodrome Theatre.
Scherr says the yelling frightened audience members who thought it was a precursor to a mass shooting.
He shared a video of the aftermath on Facebook, which shows some audience members standing and looking toward the balcony.

“I’ll be honest, I was waiting to hear a gunshot. I thought, ‘Here we go,’” Scherr told the paper.
The man who shouted pro-Trump and pro-Hitler salutes was escorted out of the theatre and the performance continued a short time later.
Scherr said that the incident left him rattled and made it difficult for him to “pay attention to the second act.”
“My heart was just racing,” he said.
The musical follows a Jewish community facing persecution in Imperial Russia.
The incident comes just weeks after an anti-semitic attack at a Pittsburgh synagogue that left 11 people dead.
